Financial Planning Assistant

Highly experienced support employee responsible for paperwork, client reports, maintaining contact with clients to provide or obtain updated information, scheduling meetings with preferred staff, and troubleshooting problems. 

Essential Functions and Duties:

Investment and Planning Operations

  • Primary role is meeting preparation in support of associate or lead advisors.
  • First back-up to associate advisors to sit in on client meetings.
  • Responsible for the money line report and coordinates instructions between advisory team members.
  • Responsible for prep for all strategy meetings, tactical call, intake, implementation or planning meetings – which includes CRM summary, agenda, allocation spreadsheet, model updates and planning memo.
  • Oversees opportunities report weekly for pending, not submitted, and completed investment activity and communicates status with the advisor.
  • Submits ACR’s after a client meeting and is the point person for compliance for additional questions. 

 

Specialized Operations

  • Serves as the point of contact for their area of specialty if applicable (i.e. Investment Operations, Planning, Insurance).
  • Helps to create training programs and continuing education opportunities for the team.
  • Communicates directly with the client regarding email questions, servicing, planning or insurance items if requested by associate or advisor.
  • Serves as the point of contact for any technology or system that is used in the course of their primary role (i.e. Advisor Complete, BFG Model, Advisor Enterprise, Insurance carrier sites)

 

Miscellaneous Operations

  • Participates in client meetings with advisors, as needed.
  • Attends advisor strategy and tactical kick off meetings. 
  • Attending various conferences and workshops, as needed.
  • Attending all team meetings & retreats, including the annual planning summit (optional).
  • Trains and mentors CSAs and RCSAs.
  • Handles CSA and RCSA roles during position vacancies or as needed.
  • Implements a Plan of Work annually, and/or if your position evolves.
  • No business development responsibilities.
  • No client retention or management goals.

 

Experience/Education Requirements

  • College Degree or equivalent experience
  • SIE
  • Series 7, 66 license
  • Life and Health license
  • Professional designation relevant to the position
