Investing in the Next Generation at Towson University’s Wealth Management Competition

At BFG Financial Advisors, we believe one of the best ways to strengthen the future of the financial planning profession is to invest in the people who will shape it.

That’s why members of our team are proud to support Towson University’s Wealth Management Competition by serving as judges and sharing their experience with the next generation of financial professionals.

BFG Investment Committee members Yanni Niebuhr, Manny Essien, and Claudia Glover participated as judges, evaluating students as they put their knowledge to work tackling real-world financial planning and wealth management challenges.

For students, experiences like these provide an opportunity to move beyond the classroom. They’re challenged to think critically, communicate their recommendations, and apply what they’ve learned to situations similar to those they may encounter throughout their careers. Just as importantly, they have the opportunity to connect with professionals currently working in the industry and gain insight into what a career in financial services can look like.

For our team, the experience is equally rewarding.

Yanni, Manny, and Claudia bring their perspectives as members of BFG’s Investment Committee, but participating in the competition is about more than evaluating students’ work. It’s an opportunity to encourage emerging professionals, answer questions, offer feedback, and help students continue developing their skills and confidence.

Education and mentorship are important parts of BFG’s approach to community impact. We believe sharing knowledge can create a ripple effect, helping prepare talented young professionals to better serve individuals, families, and communities throughout their careers.

We’re proud of Yanni, Manny, and Claudia for giving their time and expertise to the competition, and we’re grateful to Towson University for creating opportunities that connect students with professionals in their field.

The future of financial planning is being shaped in classrooms today, and we’re excited to play a small part in helping the next generation take what they’ve learned and put it into practice.
